This is our second time and honestly, we loved everything. The portions were good and the food in general tastes amazing. The drinks were also perfect, we had the cadillac and the piña margaritas absolutely a 5/5. We ordered a couple of tacos (al pastor were our favorite), nothing is extremely spicy and that is a plus for me. As antrees got the cochinita enchiladas and the carne asada and let me tell you the steak was cooked perfectly as we wanted (medium rare). We saved some room for dessert and it did not disappoint either the mazapan cheesecake was amazing!! Perfectly balanced. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We're definitely coming back!
The staff here are so nice and the food is excellent. Stopped in for a quick breakfast before hitting the Met. Come early as it gets busy and the space is small. Lots of great options on the menu, we enjoyed the chilaquiles and migas. The orchata latte and corn pastry were delicious!
What a great little gem we found! Roberto (the owner) is extremely welcoming and truly makes you feel at home. The food is fantastic with wonderful flavors you can tell have been cooked with love. The only downside is that it is small and fast meaning ideally not a place you would spend a long, lengthy brunch at despite wanting to - though I’ll admit we came around 1:30 and stayed until closing sampling the menu (hopefully not overstaying our welcome). We also can’t WAIT for their tortilla making class later this month as well as for this place to begin their dinner service. Hoping for the best for them!
So good I ordered a second round of food… Animo… 11/10. Wow wow wow. This will become a household name. The concept is fantastic the right blend of comfort and class. The food absurdly good. The coffee high class. Its beautifully designed with well trained team giving above standard service. Another hallmark of the future of food, their style of seating and ordering gives the ordering experience back to the diner, whether you’d like to order at the counter or right from your seat. The store is beautiful. The design is so fantastic and relaxing. They have a lot of homemade pastries to look fantastic. They have cinnamon rolls and the Mexican conchas (pastries that look like shells)They even have recorded bird song playing in the bathroom as if you’re in the jungle in Mexico. The food was great. We had such an enjoyable breakfast this morning. So many good salsas too! We will be coming a lot!
This new beautiful and authentic Mexican Restaurant is FABULOUS!!! The design is great the decorations are amazing and the customer service is AWESOME. Food is delicious and the staff are great. Love having this amazing place in the area. Can enjoy both breakfast and lunch ;)
Animo is my new favorite spot! They serve delicious authentic Mexican food. Their breakfast options are plentiful, and dinner was absolutely fantastic, and the drinks complement the food well.
Last night I dined at Animo! It was their first night serving dinner. The staff were super welcoming and helpful. After trying their dinner menu I must say everything I ate was amazing. The guacamole was so tasty and fresh. Their shrimp tacos were flavorful and cheesy. Until yesterday, I had never had shrimp tacos before. I’m glad I tired them. The star of the show for me was their flan and chocolate cake. I could have eaten three more of those and still would have wanted more. I look forward to dinning at Animo! again and trying their breakfast and lunch menu.
